Roommates Make Snowboarding Videos

This is one of our videos we shot at the end of the 2015-2016 season.

Location was the Area 51 terrain park at Keystone Resort, right down the road from the condo we had in Dillon, Colorado.

This blog post is very late because the 2016-2017 season just ended at every slope except for Arapahoe Basin, which usually stays open until June.

We shot this within the last week or two of the season. The double-cork was one of the first of the season, but not the first for Alec.

Make sure to check out our website or Youtube channel to see this season’s edits, which also include double-backflips.

We have also upgraded our camera equipment. Now we are using a full-frame DSLR with multiple lenses and supplementary gear.

Hopefully, I will shoot some Summer training footage at “Woodward at Copper” which has a terrain park open until late September. It might not be miles of pow, but its a place to continue honing a rider’s skills and keep progressing during the off-season.

For me, this Summer season is about really focusing on rehab of a chronic ankle injury and getting married. I hope I can find time to ride and train still. In fact, I’m confident I’ll make the time. I didn’t start a company called Colorado Mountain Life to not enjoy living that life when I get busy, right?

As I write this article Alec is at the invite-only Superpark event at Bear Mountain in California… It sounds like a blast, just chilling and riding with the best in the industry.

My congratulations to Alec for spending the last 3 riding seasons here in Summit County training and progressing… We’re only young once, and I’m sure he will be stoked when he’s 80-years old, looking back on the videos we made right here in Colorado.
