Snowboarding Keystone Colorado – Early Season 2015 – 2016
Snowboarding Keystone Colorado – Early 2015 – 2016
This snowboarding season was both amazing and extremely challenging. As the video producer and camera man, I didn’t have to have my body functioning as well as Alec did, and that is good because I could barely walk when we shot this video due to a severe injury 11-months earlier… As I was (and still am) focusing on my recovery, Alec broke his collar bone, which put him out of commission for about six-weeks, shortly after this shoot day. Over the previous Summer, Alec had shoulder surgery because his arm was coming out of socket from almost anything, like sneezing. That was actually one of my first experiences with Alec in 2014, the first season we lived together… Snowboarding Keystone Colorado in the early season park, Alec crashed and we couldn’t get his arm back into place, so he went to the ER. they put it back in, then he went back to the park to continue practicing that afternoon… Crazy, right?
One of the amazing things about Summit County, Colorado is that there are ski slopes in every direction. Just East of Keystone are Arapahoe Basin and Loveland. To the Southwest is Breckenridge, to the West is Copper Mountain, West of Copper are Ski Cooper and Vail. The list keeps going, but these slopes are all within 5-30 miles of Keystone Resort.
Summit County is home to many world-class and professional snowboarders and skiers. It is also a seasonal training ground for Olympic athletes, X-games competitors, Dew Tour participants, and many others.
One of the things I love about riding in the terrain parks in Summit County is that I get to watch and ride with some of the best in the world!
Alec and I both have the goal of making epic snowboarding videos and getting them out in front of the masses. These videos take a lot of time, energy, and investment to bring to fruition. Please help us both keep producing videos by following us on social media!
